Eco nuggets:
Welcome to Fall (:
The warmer months are slowly going away, and the colder months are settling in. Here are some ways to continue to be more eco-conscious this season:
- Bake Your Own Bread! Many storebought breads can be loaded with additives, and fall is the perfect time to start baking again. Luckily I have this sourdough recipe for a perfect loaf.
- Participate in Secondhand September! Fall is all about cozy sweaters and layering scarves to stay warm. Try to find what you can secondhand first before buying new.
- Eat Seasonally! Summer is often when people find it the easiest to eat with the seasons because of all the fresh produce. You can continue to do that in the fall! Check out this pumpkin pie overnight oats recipe for a tasty seasonal breakfast.
- Compost Your Pumpkins! I see people too often that toss their pumpkins in the trash. Throw them in your compost instead!
